关于SAT及ACT阅读备考

阅读需要长期进行才行的。

 

我在此说点绝对的话——所有要参加雅思、托福、SAT、ACT或者GRE、GMAT考试的同学,要想在实战中考出阅读好成绩,必须早做准备,短期培训迅速提分都是扯淡。短期培训基本都是疯狂刷题,疯狂讲解,疯狂记单词,疯狂熬夜。这基本就是在催命。基础弱的同学,刷完所有历年真题,最终还是低分。即使考出高分,那也是你之前长期积累的结果,老师只是帮你点拨了一下答题技巧或者思路。

 

我们应该选择一条更自然更轻松的路。

 

想在SAT或者ACT中考出高分,建议大家至少提前一年开始培养阅读的好习惯(这不仅仅是为了考试,更为了以后语言能力以及思维能力的综合提升)。建议大家至少初三或者高一开始进行阅读习惯的培养(可能需要老师或者家长早点引导孩子们了,因此老师至关重要),每天30-60分钟阅读,必将大受裨益。至于阅读材料,可以选择合适的英语书籍或者文章,每天坚持读一点。材料丰富多彩,大家可以阅读各种题材的东西,新闻、小说、短篇故事、人物传记、历史文献等等。

 

在阅读过程中,手边要有一个专门积累词汇的小本子和笔,随时记录你想要学习的词汇或者短语,或者摘录一些你喜欢的句子或者片段。这些都是宝贵的语料,多多利用零散时间翻阅记忆,让它们内化在你的脑海里,未来会有大用。

 

在日常的阅读中,随着阅读能力的提升,大家会感受到:

刚开始只能懵懵懂懂了解表面信息,逐渐地能理解稍微深渡信息。最后达到一定高度的时候,对于整体文章结构以及细节都能做深度理解。

 

这些都需要长期积累语料,长期熟悉英语国家人的写作思路。

 

阅读其实就是在解读作者的思想。在解读别人思想的过程中,学习者的思想也在丰富,也在不断成长。

 

十几年的教学经历告诉我:
阅读和写作能力出色的同学下的都是平时功夫。在考前,经过老师的适当指导,这些学生很快会产生实战优势,最终在考场上斩获高分。
